Suicide and its prevention are medical issues, not criminal – yet in more than 20 countries anyone who makes an attempt on their life may be incarcerated.

More than 700,000 people die each year from suicide and our CEO Thili Perera, alongside members Dato’ Dr Venugopal Balchand and Jennifer Peprah, spoke about the need to decriminalise suicide across the globe.
